So what have we learned from the earthquake in Japan? Will history repeat itself and can we really learn from it?

We learned:
technology may be powerful, convenient, but may sometimes very harmful to human if accidents happen
Safety is the one thing that we should never compromise
One country has earthquake, its neighbor seems more panic
Rumors go on in difficult times, we have to use more of our little coconut (ie brain).
