If you want happiness for an hour — take a nap.
If you want happiness for a day — go fishing.
If you want happiness for a month — get married.
If you want happiness for a year — inherit a fortune.
If you want happiness for a lifetime — help someone else.

I saw these quotes outside the newly renovated U/F toilet at Olympian City. I thought its very meaning.

So I looked it up in Google, many source claims it’s a Chinese proverb! Well, I am not so sure about this. I’m just wonder how would it translate if it were in Chinese. I can’t figure it out, it’s just don’t sound like Chinese to me.

Hey, but that’s not the point. I think it’s very meaningful, whether it’s originated from Chinese or not. I like the last part:

If you want happiness for a lifetime — help someone else

Have you helped someone else today?
